About the Founders of Hunters Advantage
Rob and Sabrina’s story began in high school as close friends. Although life initially took them down separate paths, fate reunited them at a coffee shop in 2017. Both were at a significant crossroads, and it didn’t take them long to realize they wanted to lead a different, more intentional lifestyle focused on sustainable outdoor living.
In 2021, they made the move to Muskoka, Ontario. They created ‘Adventure Tripping,’ embarking on extended camping adventures, running rivers, and exploring the backcountry. At home, they hunted, fished, and foraged. This included growing their own vegetables and harvesting small and big game. By 2023, Keeva joined the family—a mix of Boxer, German Short-haired Pointer, and Black Lab. They had no hesitation in feeding her a raw food diet, primarily sourced from wild game! Throughout this journey, their deep appreciation for the outdoors evolved into a realization: they could do more for themselves, Keeva, and the environment. They began implementing effective scent management for hunters and eliminating as many chemicals and toxins as possible from their daily lives.
One of those areas was hunting. Rob started creating his own natural hunting products using natural ingredients and steam-distilled essential oils. Recognizing the lack of retail options for other hunters interested in making a clean choice, Sabrina suggested they develop a scent management for hunters product to take to market. There are approximately 2.1 million hunters in Canada, and between 40% and 60% of them utilize some form of scent management. This leads to a significant amount of chemicals being introduced into hunters' bodies and the big game environments, a statistic that Hunter's Advantage aims to reduce, promoting sustainable outdoor living.
Their love for big game goes far beyond the hunt. They have spent many years learning about big game habitats, routines, and the local flora and fauna. Rob and Sabrina want their great-grandchildren to enjoy this way of life, as well as yours, and they are actively participating in its preservation through sustainable outdoor living practices.
